What Strategy Lab is
Strategy Lab is a research workspace inside Olympus Premium. You write a set of rules over Olympus's own projections and model-vs-market edges, see how those rules would have done on past settled opportunities, and save them so Olympus checks new projections for matches. It runs in three steps: build, explore, monitor.
It is a research tool. It does not place bets, hold funds or connect to a sportsbook, and nothing in it is a promise about future results.
1. Build a strategy
Choose the leagues and markets to include: moneylines, spreads, totals, player props and other markets Olympus projects. Narrow them with an edge range, a model-probability range and a minimum and maximum American price. Where the market has them, filter by favorite or underdog, home or away, and over or under, pick specific teams or players, and set a line range.
More settings let you measure edge against the offered odds or as expected return, limit matches by how many hours before the start they were found, pick event days, and restrict the history to a date range. A market with no verified price history is labelled as such in the picker.
2. Explore its history
The history is the archive of Olympus projections and edges that carry a verified pre-event price, settled as a win, loss or push. It is not re-run with today's model and it does not fill in missing prices. Rows that could not be graded are counted and left out, and a league or market without verified history can be monitored but not backtested.
Each run shows historical ROI with a 95% range, and says plainly when that range still includes 0%, meaning the result is not proven. It also shows units returned, win rate against the break-even rate for the prices, the number of matches, average closing line value where closing prices exist, maximum drawdown and the longest losing streak, alongside a cumulative-units chart. Breakdowns split the result by edge, favorite and underdog, home and away, over and under, and league and market. A baseline compares your rules with every Olympus edge in the same leagues, markets and dates.
Every backtest stakes one flat unit per bet. It describes the past, not a forecast, and small groups swing widely.
3. Save it and let Olympus watch
Name and save a strategy to your library. Saved strategies start paused; you turn monitoring on when you are ready, and editing the rules pauses it again. While monitoring is on, Olympus checks new projections against your rules. Each match is listed with the time it was detected and how long before the start, along with its line, model probability and edge, and it is graded when the game settles. A strategy's page shows its historical record next to its live signals.
You can ask for an email when monitoring finds a match. Alerts are email only, and every alert carries an unsubscribe link.
What it does not do
Strategy Lab does not size bets with Kelly or a bankroll model: the backtest uses flat units so rules can be compared fairly. It does not place or copy bets anywhere. A strong historical row is a hypothesis to keep testing on live matches, not evidence that it will keep winning.
Who can use it
Strategy Lab is included with Olympus Premium ($15/week, $39/month, $99/3 months or $349/year). A $5 day pass (one slate day, until 4:00 AM ET) or a $10 weekend pass unlocks full Premium, Strategy Lab included, for its window without a subscription. You sign in to use it; the free daily projections do not include it.
Questions people ask
Is Strategy Lab a sportsbook or a betting bot?
No. Olympus Bets is a sports-betting research and analytics platform, not a sportsbook. It does not accept wagers, hold funds or set odds, and it is not affiliated with OlympusBet (olympusbet.com). Strategy Lab tests and monitors rules over Olympus projections; it never places a bet, and any wager is yours to place with a licensed sportsbook.
What data does a Strategy Lab backtest use?
The archive of Olympus projections and edges that carry a verified pre-event price, settled as a win, loss or push. The model is not re-run on the past and missing prices are never filled in; ungraded rows are counted and excluded.
Does a good backtest mean a strategy will keep winning?
No. A backtest describes the past, not a forecast. Strategy Lab shows a 95% range on ROI and says when it still includes 0%; small groups swing widely. Monitoring then grades every new match so you can see how the rules do going forward.
